Swine Flu

Swine flu is a respiratory disease and has some elements of the virus found in pigs. There is no evidence that this disease is circulating in pigs and scientists who investigate its origin. Swine flu has been confirmed in a number of countries and is spread from human to human, which can lead to what is referred to as a pandemic flu outbreak.

Pandemic flu is different from ordinary flu because the flu virus that merged in humans and spread rapidly from person to person in the world. World Health Organization (WHO) is monitoring the case of global flu pigs to see if the virus is evolving to become pandemic. Because the new virus, no one will have immunity and can be to all people at risk of catching it. This includes adults and healthy older people, young children and those with existing medical conditions.

HOW SWINE FLU SPREAD

Flu viruses that are made of small particles can be spread through droplets, from the nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze. When you cough or sneeze without covering your nose and mouth with the network, which can spread droplets and others at risk they will be breathing in. If you cough or sneeze to your hands, the droplets and the bacteria in them and then easily spread from hand to hard surface that you touch, and they can live on surfaces for some time. Each item such as doors, computer keyboard, phone and regular telephone and TV remote control are the entire common flu virus which can be found.

If another person is touching the surface and then touches their faces, the bacteria can enter their system and they can become infected. That's all cold and flu viruses, including swine flu, which is passed from person to person.

VACCINATION

Not at this point. Type of flu is not the same as the seasonal flu; it involves a completely new type of virus. A vaccine can be developed only if the specific strain has been identified, and then take several weeks to produce. Government has in place agreements with manufacturers so that we can get the stock as soon as possible after the vaccine has been developed.
